 2008 Men’s and Women’s Summer Singles Leagues 
Sponsored by the Walnut Creek Racquet Club (WCRC), the 2008 Men's and Women's Summer Singles Leagues will be held June 2nd - September 21st. Entering its eleventh year, the leagues have been one of the true success stories in NorCal tennis, starting with 48 players in 1998 and growing to include several hundred participants in 2007.

We will continue to offer on-line scoring and real-time updated standings for all ten (10) divisions. Don't forget that the league registration fee includes 12 regular season singles matches, a league gift and an end of the season tournament.

 Format 
Men’s Singles/Women’s Singles
12-week regular season
(players grouped by NTRP level)
 NTRP Levels 
Men’s: 3.0 - 5.0/5.5; Women's 2.5 - 4.5/5.0
 Scheduling 
Twelve (12) matches are provided for each player to complete during the 12-week season. Schedules will be posted on the Walnut Creek Racquet Club website during the last week of May and on-line contact lists will be available to players. Players are responsible for scheduling their own matches at any site that is mutually agreeable between opponents.
 Match Format 
Best two-out-of-three set format, 12-point tiebreaker (regular scoring). No SUPERTIEBREAKERS! Both players responsible for bringing balls to match; winning team gets unopened can. Matches should be played according to the "Rules of Tennis.".
 Tournament 
End of season tournament with draw determined by the league standings to be held on Oct. 3-5 & Oct. 11-12. To qualify for the tournament, players must have completed and reported at least 6 matches during the regular league season. Depending on the number of entrants tournament play may include Friday night play. In addition, draws with large numbers of players may be required to play matches prior to the tournament weekend.
